Professional director Sandra Williams MA, who studied Text & Performance as a mature student at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) & King’s College, launched The Marshal’s Theatre Company (TMTC) in April 2007. Based at Cartmel Priory The Marshal’s have the privilege of performing in this beautiful, atmospheric and ancient space. Named after William The Marshal, the knight who founded the Priory and played a key role in gaining King John’s acceptance of the Magna Carta, TMTC since its launch has successfully drawn together a range of creative people – amateur and professional from the South Lakes.
